New Orleans Metropolitan Area
Ten Minutes drive from the French Quarter
Celebrate Louisiana's beautiful and diverse fish and wildlife through art, photography, and workshops at the Louisiana Fish and Wildlife Photography and Art Exhibition at Arabi Visual Arts in the beautiful Arabi Arts District. We are located on the St. Claude Arts Campus, a project of the Meraux Foundation in the thriving Arabi Arts District, just a ten minute drive from the world-famous New Orleans French Quarter. We are proud of our location in amazing St. Bernard Parish, the frontline for the crucial Mississippi River Delta. Our residents take great pride in the beautiful nature scenery, respect the abundant wildlife, and enjoy a prime location in the "Sportsman's Paradise."
There are two open calls for this exhibition: Juried and Children's. Please review ALL documents carefully before submitting your work.
The juried photography and art category is open to professional and amateur photographers and artists. Up to 20 images will be selected to be displayed in the main gallery at Arabi Visual Arts by Healthy Gulf. In addition, a curation committee will select additional works to fill the remainder of areas in the St. Claude Arts building with photography and art.
There is no hard and fast rules for the jury selection process. However, consideration will be given to all aspects of the quality of work such as composition, exposure, focus, clarity, etc. The emphasis is on NATURE & WILDLIFE. Please do not submit images of captive animals, humans posing with animals, or images dominated with man-made objects.
Arabi Visual Arts owner Christopher Ryan will pull from the remaining entries not selected by the jury to be displayed in the common galleries of the St. Claude Arts Building. These selections are based on factors such as artistic quality, local artist inclusiveness, and the desire to represent a broad spectrum of Louisiana Fish & Wildlife.
